Alternative Risk
Determining the ability to control an organization's underwriting risk requires five disciplines - somewhat like "pressure points" - areas of plan strategy, design and administration that need diligent attention to ensure the profitability of a benefit program. Insurance Associates of Northern California provides the support you need to succeed in each key discipline: Underwriting and Plan Design. Plan Funding. Loss Prevention. Claims Management. Information Systems. ALTERNATIVE RISK In commercial lines, we are beginning to see growing interest in alternative risk transfer (ART) programs at the top end of the middle market - the heart of our commercial business - and we have the opportunity to take the offensive in providing these customers with early access of ART mechanisms. Alternative risk programs are well established among the world's largest commercial insurance customers, with almost every major corporation today making some use of self-insured vehicles, captives, risk retention groups and finite risk mechanisms, We believe that there is significant potential in expanding our capabilities, with a particular eye on our middle market customers, and in developing product offerings that blend traditional insurance coverage's with alternative risk vehicles for this market segment.
